Use Helix to record your patients' medical details and consultations.
- Health Summary
  Information entered by a practitioner during a consult is added to a patient's Health Summary.
- Consultations
  Record details of a clinical consultation in the Consult panel of the patient's record.
- Patient Timeline
  A summary of the patient's clinical history is displayed in the Patient Timeline.
- Medications
  Helix uses the MDref medications database provided by AusDI.
- Immunisations
  Before you administer an immunisation to a patient, check the immunisations that have already been administered on the AIR and the immunisations due.
- Allergies
  A patient's drug allergies can be added to their record.
- Chronic Disease Management
  Use the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) feature to specify care plans, cycle of care for asthma or diabetes, and GP Mental Health Treatment Plans.
- History & Examinations
  Record details of a patient's clinical history in the History section. Record details of today's examination of a patient in the Examination section.
- Measurements and Assessments
  Record metabolic, pathology and ECG measurements and other assessments in the patient's record as required.
- Recalls
  A Recall is a type of flag recorded against a patient's record that informs practitioners and practice staff of when the patient is due to return to the practice.
- Nursing Requests
  During a consult, add a request for a nurse to complete a nursing action.
- Obstetrics
  Record obstetrics information on the Obstetrics panel.
  - Record a New Pregnancy
    Add a new pregnancy to the patient record.
  - Record Obstetric Visits
    Add observations for an obstetric visit to the patient's record.
  - Record End of Pregnancy
    Record the end of a pregnancy, its outcome, and the details of any live births.
  - Record Past Pregnancies
    Add any previous pregnancies not already recorded in Helix.
- Investigations
  Investigations can be requested by a practitioner from within a patient's clinical record.
- Tasks
  The tasks module allows users to send messages (tasks) to other users throughout the medical centre.
- My Health Record
  Securely upload a patient's health data to their My Health Record.

Update Obstetrics and Gynaecology
View Consults
Update Consults
View Patient

To display the Obstetrics panel, select Consult > Obstetrics.

Obstetrics in the Actions Section

When a new pregnancy is recorded in the system and saved, an entry is made in the Consult actions > Other actions section of the

Consult panel. Click on an entry to make changes.

Obstetrics in the Timeline

When the consult is ended, the entry in the Consult actions > Other actions section of the

Consult panel is removed and a new entry is made in the patient’s Timeline.
