Use Helix to record your patients' medical details and consultations.
- Health Summary
  Information entered by a practitioner during a consult is added to a patient's Health Summary.
- Consultations
  Record details of a clinical consultation in the Consult panel of the patient's record.
- Patient Timeline
  A summary of the patient's clinical history is displayed in the Patient Timeline.
- Conditions
  Add a condition to a patient's record from a predefined set of conditions.
- Add Family History
  A patient may inform a practitioner about a family medical condition which can be recorded in Helix.
- Add Social History
  Record a patient's occupation, marital status and sexuality as social history in Helix.
- Address Books
- Allergies
  A patient's drug allergies can be added to their record.
- Chronic Disease Management
  Use the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) feature to specify care plans, cycle of care for asthma or diabetes, and GP Mental Health Treatment Plans.
- History & Examinations
  Record details of a patient's clinical history in the History section. Record details of today's examination of a patient in the Examination section.
- Immunisations
  Before you administer an immunisation to a patient, check the immunisations that have already been administered on the AIR and the immunisations due.

  Record metabolic, pathology and ECG measurements and other assessments in the patient's record as required.
- Recalls
  A Recall is a type of flag recorded against a patient's record that informs practitioners and practice staff of when the patient is due to return to the practice.

  During a consult, add a request for a nurse to complete a nursing action.

  Record obstetrics information on the Obstetrics panel.
- Investigations
  Investigations can be requested by a practitioner from within a patient's clinical record.
- Medications
  Helix uses the MDref medications database provided by AusDI.
- Record a Visit
  Practitioners can create a visit for a patient, add the patient to the patient queue, and initiate the billing process for all types of visits. Alternatively for previous consults, create a visit and bill the patient.
- Tasks
  The tasks module allows users to send messages (tasks) to other users throughout the medical centre.

My Health Record Shared Health Summary

Securely upload a patient's health data to their My Health Record.

Helix is compatible with the My Health Record system. You can upload your patient's shared health summary and view CDA documentation that was created for the patient at another practice. You can also upload prescriptions to a patient's My Health Record.

Documents managed via My Health Recordare done so securely. To enable access to the My Health Record system:

The centre's HPI-O must be recorded.
The practitioner's HPI-I must be recorded.
The HI and NASH certificates must be installed.
The patient must consent to their information being uploaded to My Health Record. If the Opt Out is selected in the My Health Record Preferences section of the Patient Header, the Create button is inactive.
