- Configure Centre Billing
  Add your centre's account details, default billing type, default billing items for different scenarios and your Modified Monach Category for Medicarebilling incentive items.
- Fee Schedules
  Maintain the default fee schedule for patient services that are not bulk billed or DVA-related, import updated MBS and DVA fee schedules into your instance of Helix, and create customised fee schedules.
- Banking
  Use the Bank panel to view deposited items and balance your banking records.
- Add Billing Items for a Consult
  If required, clinicians can create or modify the list of items to be billed for the current consult.
- Medicare Claims
  Use Helix to submit a Medicare claim to Services Australia, retransmit an unsuccessful claim, and view the claim results.

    Transmit private claims to Services Australia, and retransmit unsuccessful claims.

      Transmit stored patient claims from Helix to Services Australia.
    - Unsuccessful Patient Claims
      Change unsuccessful claims and resubmit them to Services Australia.
    - Print the Transmitted Claims
      Print a list of transmitted patient claims.
  - Correcting Medicare Claims
    You can view the list of pending claims and error messages for failed claims that have already transmitted to Services Australia. You can also delete claims that have already been transmitted.
  - Batch
    A practitioner can batch the group of the patient's claims and send the batch from Helix to Services Australia.
- Transaction History
  View the transaction history for individual patients or account holders, and refund and write-off summaries.

Submit Patient Claims

Transmit stored patient claims from Helix to Services Australia.

About this task

Stored claims can be transmitted to Services Australia from Patient Claims section.

Procedure

To transmit stored claims:

Select Claiming, Banking, and Payments > Patient Claims from the menu.
On the Patient Claims tab, select Stored.
Filter the list of results if required.
Locate and select the items you want to transmit to Services Australia.
Click Transmit.

Results

The patient claims are submitted to Services Australia.

Tip: Alternatively, to print the selected claims, click Print. For more information, see Print the Transmitted Claims.
