- Message Centre
  Use the Message Centre to manage recalls, tasks, investigation results and health summaries, and to send messages and review the communications log.
  - Recalls in the Message Centre
    Manage recall notifications from the Message Centre.
  - Tasks
    Tasks created by practitioners during a consult, or from the Message Centre are sent as messages to the assigned person.
  - Inbox
    View patients' investigation results and health summaries that have been delivered electronically to your health centre in the Message Centre Inbox.
  - SMD Outbox
    The Secure Message Delivery (SMD) Outbox lists letters, documents and messages sent securely to a recipient using HealthLink.
  - Comms Log
    View communications, such as SMS appointment reminders and rescheduled appointments, sent to patients from your centre, and the statuses of those communications.
- SMS
  Send scheduled SMS messages from Helix to patients for appointment and recall reminders, or send ad hoc messages as required.
- Letters
  Use letters or templates to write medical certificates, WorkCover certifications, referrals, health assessments, death certificates, veterans affairs requests, and so on.
- Create and Send Secure Documents
  Create and send the documents to the patient from the Letter Writer section.
- Email
  You can send emails to patients and healthcare providers from the Letter Writer.
- Printer Settings
  Configure up to four printers for general printing, imaging requests, pathology requests, and prescriptions.

Procedure

To view messages sent securely from Helix:

From the main menu, select Message Centre > SMD Outbox.
Search for the document you want to review:
- To display only those documents created by you, set My items.
- To search for documents relating to a particular patient, in the Search field, type the patient's family or given name.
Select a record to display it in the right side panel.

Results

Each record includes:

Date sent
Recipient
Patient Name
Details
Type - whether a secure message or not
Status - one of:
- Sent
- Delivered
- Failed
