Configure the Patient's Record for SMS Messaging

Configure the patient's record so Helix can send SMS appointment reminders to them.

Procedure

  1. From the PatientPatient Search or Patient Queue iconPatient Queue, select a patient.

  2. To edit:
    • From a healthcare professional's account, in the Consult panelConsult panel's header, select either the patient's name, date of birth, contact details or email.

    • From a non-clinical user's account, in the Visit panelVisit panel's header, click Edit IconEdit.

  3. Check that a mobile phone number is recorded for the patient.

  4. To open Patient Preferences, click Preferences iconPreferences.

  5. For SMS Preferences, set Opt In.

  6. Click Save.

Results

As soon as a patient's record is configured they can receive SMS appointment reminders sent from your practice.
