  4. Provide your practice details to the Sonic Lab IT.
  5. Obtain the practice's username and password credentials for the Sonic Fetch API from the Lab.
  6. In Helix, enter the practice credentials. For more information, see Configure Helix for Sonic Labs.

Results

Once the credentials have been entered, Helix is now ready to receive electronic results from Sonic.

Allow up to approximately half a day before the first results are delivered.

What to do next

When accessing the Helix Inbox for the first time after activation, there could be a number of electronic results waiting to be processed, so allow at least a minute for the reports to be displayed.

Note:
  • If advice or help is required, please contact the Sonic Lab for assistance.
  • If the Practice uses both Sonic Pathology and Radiology services, Sonic has advised that you inform the Pathology Lab to also deliver Radiology reports via API.
  • If the Practice will only be using Radiology services, Sonic has advised that you should contact the local Pathology Lab to setup the process.
  • If the Practice has never used Sonic Healthcare services, for example, a new surgery, there may be additional steps required. If this happens, please follow the directions that the Sonic Lab provides.
  • You may find that the Practice user name credentials may start with sfx. For example, sfxhelixtst.
