- Configure Centre Billing
  Add your centre's account details, default billing type, default billing items for different scenarios and your Modified Monach Category for Medicarebilling incentive items.
- Fee Schedules
  Maintain the default fee schedule for patient services that are not bulk billed or DVA-related, import updated MBS and DVA fee schedules into your instance of Helix, and create customised fee schedules.
- Banking
  Use the Bank panel to view deposited items and balance your banking records.
- Add Billing Items for a Consult
  If required, clinicians can create or modify the list of items to be billed for the current consult.
- Medicare Claims
  Use Helix to submit a Medicare claim to Services Australia, retransmit an unsuccessful claim, and view the claim results.

  View the transaction history for individual patients or account holders, and refund and write-off summaries.
- Tyro Integration
  Helix integrates with Tyro and its EFTPOS terminals.
  - Record a Credit Card Surcharge
    Tyro EFTPOS devices require that your practice charges patients a credit card surcharge; you cannot pair a Tyro terminal with Helix unless you have recorded a credit card surcharge fee for your practice.

  - Pair the Practice Terminal with a Practitioner
    For a practitioner to use EasyClaim, the terminal must be paired with the practitioner details.
  - Pay Through Tyro
    After processing the billing, you can make a payment through Tyro automatically.

    After a patient has paid for their consult in full, a Medicare claim can be processed through EasyClaim or submitted to Services Australia.
  - Claim Summary
    After the claim has been successfully submitted, a Claim summary is generated.

Terminal Configuration

Configure the required terminal for the billing process or refunds.

Before you begin

Ensure you have recorded a credit card surcharge value into Helix. For more information about recording, see Record a Credit Card Surcharge.

Procedure

To configure the terminal:

Select user > Settings.
In the Settings window, select Centre > Centre Settings.
In the Centre Settings, locate and edit your centre.
In the Centre Management window, select Integrated Payments & Claiming tab.
Under the Integrated Payments & Claiming tab, toggle the Enable integrated payments for Helix option to On.
To add a new terminal, click Add Terminal.
The Add new Terminal panel is displayed.
1. In the Terminal Provider field, select the appropriate terminal provider from the list.
2. In the Terminal Name field, enter the preferred terminal name, and then click Next.
In the Add New Terminal panel, select the appropriate Tyro Payments Terminal type, and then click Next.
To enable EasyClaim for Medicare refunds, toggle the Enable EasyClaim option to On.

Note: To use EasyClaim as the default claim, set Patient Claim.
Follow the remainder of instructions as shown on screen.

Results

If the pairing is successful, the configuration is saved automatically.
